Understanding NDIS Capacity Building Support
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new Australian government initiative to provide better support for people with disability. The aim of the NDIS is to ensure that people with disability have access to the services and supports they need to live in the community and achieve their full potential. The NDIS will provide a range of services and supports to help people with disability to live, work and participate in society. This is a list of the three different budgets: 1. Core Supports – supports for everyday activities 2. Capacity Building Supports – supports to help you build your skills and increase your independence 3. Capital Supports – supports such as assistive technology, vehicle modifications, home modifications and Specialist Disability Accommodation. 1.
